In 1652 Jan van Riebeeck secured a trading post in what is now known as Cape Town. It is the mother city of South Africa and is capital of the province of Western Cape. Cape Town is considered as a culture rich city with its many different native languages such as Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa, and Sesotho, English is still considered the first language. Cape Town today is the legislative capital of South Africa

Cape Town enjoys long warm summers and mild to cold winters. In summer the city will reach temperatures beyond 28 and usually has a gentle breeze off the Atlantic Ocean, which can be seen from most of the city. This breeze helps to cool the city and keep humidity down making Cape Town a fantastic summer get away, a place where you can enjoy the heat and travel to one of many interesting cultural sights Cape Town has to offer.

This vibrant city has many museums, beaches and places of history, and let's not forget the famous Table Mountain which can be explored by cable car. If you're feeling up to it the mountain can also be conquered by foot. Led by one of many experienced tour guides, you should be kept safe from the inquisitive baboons you may encounter on your walk. From the top of the mountain you will have a panoramic view of the city and marvel at the beauty that is Cape Town.

Once returning from your exploration you may need to replenish your thirst or hunger. The V&A waterfront and Long Street will be able to cater for even the most particular appetite. The food, which the residents regard in a very high manner, is either locally produced or freshly caught. Area's such as Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, which can be found just outside the city, are famous for its wines, so you are in for a treat. Here the local staff please your every need while you dine in absolute bliss.

Luxury Hotels in Cape Town have something for everyone. From the kids looking to keep themselves entertained, to the more seasoned traveller looking to spend a romantic couple of days with a partner. Every room comes with brand new state-of-the-art equipment such iPod docking stations, satellite television, DVD players, 24-hour room-service, air-conditioning and heating for the odd winter night. There are even a couple of homely touches like a bathrobe and slippers, which make you feel you're on cloud nine.

The rooms in these glorious hotels have views of either the sparkling blue Atlantic Ocean, where you can watch dolphins playing in the surf and seals bask on the golden beaches, or Table Mountain where you can watch ramblers trekking up green forest type paths towards the summit. The Balcony, veranda or the blue crystal pools are all perfect place's to watch the sun rise over the ocean and feel the warm southern hemisphere sun on your skin. However when the sun sets it is equally as impressive. As the sun slowly disappears over the mountain it leaves a feeling of still quietness that is accompanied by a wide range of colours that cover a sky you didn't know existed.

The accommodation these hotels provide boasts a wide range of rooms from exclusive luxury individual en suite bedrooms, to the presidential double-story apartments, the kind of thing you would expect to see in glossy magazines.

The facilities that accompany these hotels are sure to please a wide range of guests. For the guest seeking a break from the madness of everyday life, these hotels offer facilities such as wellness centres, salons, and top-of the range spas.
